Well, no news on a court date yet. Mark and I were hoping that our son would be home by the time Summer turned seven years old. That did not happen. All we can do is put our trust in God and wait for His timing. I am so thankful to have a picture of our little guy.( I wish I could share the pictures, but I can not until we pass court ). I hope we hear something soon. Please keep us in your prayers while we wait. Please pray for our son, his birth family, and for us to be prepared for anything that could stand in our way. Mark and I have had many things try to keep us down, but then God lifts us up again!!!

I have been wondering about you- you have posted in so long. How long does it usually take to get a court date- and then how long until you can bring him home? Do you go for court? I heard that it can take up to 3 months after court to get approval to bring him home is that right? I really hope things get moving for you soon. Keep us updated.
ReplyDeleteI have friends right now that are begining the adoption process. They are thinking Ethiopia and they are thinking Bethany. They want a girl under 5 years old. What advice would you give them?
ReplyDeleteMichele- yes, we will go for court and it could take up to 3-4 months to bring him home after that. I am just praying it may happen quickly. However, nothing has happened quickly. They said we might be going soon waiting on a letter for the judge. Praying HARD that we go soon!!
ReplyDeleteTell your friend that I would not go with Ethiopia as of right now- because of the unknowns. Referrals are taking longer too!! Bethany only give out 2 in November - we were one of them. I hear many people are going with Uganda now. Tell her to check that out. Just my thoughts on this. I would hate for her to think she would get a child quickly- maybe special needs she might. Let me k ow what she decides to do- do I can pray for her and their journey.
